Library Notes for 22 August

It’s August and school has started. Next is September and
Preschool Storytime! Every Wednesday at 10:30 starting September 5. Ms. Cheryl
is planning a lot of fun for preschoolers ages 2-5. So stop by and sign up! It
will be your most fun hour of the week. “Pam’s Pick” this week is “Odd
Apocalypse” by Dean Koontz, this is an Odd Thomas novel. It’s a good mix of
suspense, and whimsy. This book is in regular and large print.



New Fiction:

“Where We Belong” by Emily Giffin, this is the story of
one powerfull secret, its effect on two families ,and the life altering journey
that follows.


“The Unseen” by Heather Graham, this is a paranormal
thriller. It is Ranger Raintree’s powerful ability to communicate with the dead
that inspires him to set up an elite paranormal investigators team to work
cases. After all sometimes the dead do tell tales.


“Broken Harbor” by
Tana French, this is the fourth novel
of the Dublin murder squad series. Scorcher plays by the book and plays hard.
That is what made him top detective and put him on the biggest case of his


“Creole Belle” by James Lee Burke, this is a Dave
Robicheaux novel. Robicheaux is facing his most intense and personal battle

a screenplay by Mario Puzo. This is the prequel to “The Godfather.” The saga of

conflict of apocalyptic proportions.


“The Next Best Thing” by Jennifer Weiner, the story of
Jennifer a screenwriter on the roller coaster ride of life.


“Deader Homes & Gardens” by Joan Hess, this is a
Claire Malloy mystery. Claire is back from her honeymoon and looking for her
dream home. When she finds it the home owner has been murdered. Claire decides
to take matters into her own hands if she wants to buy this house. All is fair

New Christian

“Canary Island Song” by Robin Jones Gunn, this is the
story of a woman who decides it’s time to “get a life.” Carolyn is setting sail
for the Canary Islands in hopes of discovering her new life.


“Digitalis” by Ronie Kendig this is book two in the
Discarded Heroes series. Colton Neeley is an ex-Marine trying to battle
flashbacks now that he’s back home. Piper Blum is a woman hiding from an
assassin. When the two meet their hearts collide. Can their love cover their
multitude of sins?

“A Heart Divided” by Kathleen Morgan this is the first
book in the new Heart of the Rockies series. The Caldwells and the Wainwrights
