February is the best month to curl up on the couch with a good book. “Pam’s Pick” this week is a very good book. “Collateral Damage” by Stuart Woods, this is a Stone Barrington novel. Stone follows the trail of a killer and learns just how far some people will go to wreak vengeance.
“Robert B. Parker’s Ironhorse” by Robert Knott, this is a Virgil Cole novel. Cole and Hitch on their first assignment as territorial marshals, are to escort Mexican prisoners to the border by train. When the governor of Texas and family get on the train matters change. They soon find themselves in the midst of a gang of outlaws. Can they save everyone and keep their prisoners?
“Collateral” by Ellen Hopkins, this is the story of a young woman torn between passionate first love and the reality of war. Ashley never thought she would be a military wife. But when she met Cole he didn’t match the stereotype of a solider. After five years and four deployments, Ashley wonders what life might be like outside the shadow of war.
“Luck of the Draw” by Piers Anthony this is a new escapade in the Chronicles of Xanth. Bryce is at the end of a long life when he discovers a magical box in his garage. The box transports him to Xanth and gives him a younger body. In order to stay and keep the younger body he must beat three cosmic Demons. His only advantage is a magical pen and pad. Whatever he draws will come to life. Can he draw himself out of this challenge?
“Prodigal Son” by Collen McCullough, this is a Carmine Delmonico novel. Carmine and his detectives must follow a long line of murders to find a killer involved in biochemical techniques.
“Daddy Love” by Joyce Carol Oates, this is the story of the terrible bond between victims and predators. Daddy Love ,has abducted, abused and emotionally crippled young boys for years. He brainwashes them into believing they are his sons. His latest victim, Robbie struggles to keep going and is determined to get free.
“Footprints in the Sand” by Mary Jane Clark, this is a Piper Donovan mystery. Piper is not only the maid of honor but making the wedding cake for her cousins wedding. When a bridesmaid ends up dead, Piper must find the killer too.

“You Don’t Know Me” by Susan May Warren, this is a Deep Haven novel. Annalise couldn’t be more unprepared for her past to catch up with her. Loyal Weaver buys the farm but secretly hopes Ella will once again live in the house as his wife. Will she risk everything for the love she’s always wanted?
