Book Club: January 19th at 6:00 in the basement, this month’s book is: “The Year of Pleasures” by Elizabeth Berg

Pam’s Pick this week is: “Tom Clancy Red Winter”by Marc Cameron, this is a new Jack Ryan novel. This is the previously untold story of young Jack’s adventures behind the Iron Curtain. Jack Ryan and Mary Pat Foley cross through Checkpoint Charlie into East Berlin to retrieve something stolen from the U.S. government. The stakes are high but Jack Ryan can do it if no one else can.
New Fiction: “Into the West” by Mercedes Lackey, this is the second book in the Founding of Valdemar series, “Stella Maris” by Cormac McCarthy, and “A Dangerous Business” by Jane Smiley.
New Christian Fiction: “The Bride of Blackfrars Lane” by Michelle Griep, this is the second book in the Blackfriars Lane series, and “Mistaken for His Amish Bride” by Patricia Davids, this is the sixth book in the North Country Amish series, and only in large print.
New Mystery: “Devil’s Delight” by M.C. Beaton.
New Biography: “A Man of Iron: the Turbulent Life and Improbable Presidency of Grover Cleveland” by Troy Senik.
New Non-Fiction: “Silent Spring Revolution: John F. Kennedy, Rachel Carson, Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, and the Great Environmental Awakening” by Douglas Brinkley, “Amish Friends No Waste Cookbook” by Wanda E. Brunstetter, “The Sears Baby Book: Everything You Need to Know About Your Baby From Birth to Age Two” by William Sears, and “Tell Me What You See: Ten Stories” by Terena Elizabeth Bell.
