Pam’s Pick this week is: “A Calamity of Souls” by David Baldacci, this is the story of two lawyers, one white and one black trying to save the life of a wrongly accused black man in a Virginia courtroom in the 1960’s. Jerome Washington is the hired help and accused of killing the two landowners. The police find him standing over the bodies and charge him with murder. Jack Lee and Desiree DuBose team up to save Jerome’s life maybe at the cost of their own lives.
