2025 Summer Reading Program

Children’s Programming

Join us on Wednesdays July 9th, 16th, 23rd, & 30th in the basement at 10:30 or 12:30 for our Summer Reading Program! Children ages 2-12 can come participate in this free program. We will read books, complete activities that support the theme, experience a show from Runaway Puppet Theater, see a Mark Comley Magic Show, and more!

For Tweens & Teens

We will have a Tie-Dye Party on Thursday, July 10th at 5:30 p.m. Bring your own item to tie-dye and we will provide the rest! The Tie-Dye will adhere best to natural fibers; ex. item should be made of cotton (the higher the cotton count the better) or rayon. This program is for ages 10-18.

Family Events

Join us Friday, June 27th at 6:00 p.m. for a Palette of Treats Snack Tasting. Participants will have the opportunity to taste and rank candies of every flavor and hue.

On Saturday, July 19th at 10:00 a.m. teams of 2-6 players will have two hours to assemble a puzzle. The first team to finish the puzzle or with the fewest puzzle pieces remaining wins.

On Tuesday, July 29th at 6:00 p.m. we will have a Bad Art Night. No artistic abilities required. Create your own unique disasterpiece with the supplies provided.

Adult Events

Join us Thursday, July 17th at 6:00 p.m., for a book discussion about “The Blue Hour” by Paula Hawkins. Copies of the book will be available at the front desk starting June 20th. You can also borrow the book digitally using Hoopla. We will discuss the entire book.

On Thursday, July 24th from 3-6:00 p.m. Lucy Thomas from the Janice Mason Art Museum will be leading a Paint Party. Space is limited, please be sure to register or join the waitlist.
