Pam’s Pick this week is: “The Book Witch” by Meg Saffer, this is the story of Rainy March a third-generation Book Witch. Book Witches live by a strict code: real people belong in the real world; fictional characters belong in works of fiction. Do not eat, drink or sleep inside a fictional world, lest you become part of the story, and don’t even think about falling in love with a fictional character. That is why Rainy has been forbidden from seeing the Duke of Chicago, a British detective who stars in her favorite mystery series. But when her grandfather disappears and a priceless book is stolen, who else can she call on but the Duke of Chicago. The two will reveal hidden enemies and long buried family secrets.
New Fiction: “The Paris Match” by Kate Clayborn, “Love by the Book” by Jessica George, “A Cruise to Die For” by Heather Graham, “The Mountains We Call Home” by Kim Michele Richardson, “Go Gentle” by Maria Semple, and “The News from Dublin” by Colm Toibin.
New Christian Fiction: “When They Met Again” by Leslie Gould, this is the second book in the Letters from Lancaster County.
New Large Print: “The Man from Dakota” by Peter Brandvold, this is the second book in the Nordic & Finn series.
New Non-Fiction: “The Homeschool Bible: Everything You Need to Build a Thriving Home Education” by Mandy Davis, “The Compact Beginner’s Guide to Painting,” “DK’s the History Book,” and “Fodor’s Philadelphia.”
New Audio Book: “The Devil’s Daughter” by Danielle Steel.
New Movies: “Nuremberg,” and “The Running Man.”
New TV Season: “Tulsa King” season 2.
Happy Reading!
