Pam’s Pick this week: “The Unknown” by Riley Sager, this is the story of five women who disappeared from a remote island in Vermont, in 1926. A hundred years later, it’s happening again. As a major motion picture is about to be made on the island people are beginning to disappear. Is it the work of someone who doesn’t want the movie to be made? Or is the island’s alleged supernatural past catching up with the present?

 

New Fiction: “The Half Life” by Rachel Beanland, “Backtrack” by Marc Cameron, “Pride Comes Before a Fall” by Virginia Heath, this is the first book in the Miss Prentice’s Protegees, “The Housemaid’s Wedding: a Housemaid Novella” by Freida McFadden, “Sunlight Finds You” by Laura Moriarty, and “Delusional” by James Patterson.

 

New Christian Fiction: “Candy Apple Kisses” by Amy Clipston, and “The Unexpected Caller” by Shelley Shepard Gray, this is the first book in the Amish Widows Club series.

 

New Mystery: “The Shadow Step” by Mark Billingham, this is the third book in the Detective Declan Miller mysteries.
