Library Notes for January 25, 2017
Special Guests at the library! February will bring two Special Guests to the library this year. First, President George Washington will be here Saturday, February 4, in the basement of the library at 1:00. David Wolfe is a wonderful performer from Owensboro who portrays several historical characters. This program will be about an hour long. On February 18, Alyssa Foster will be in the library board room to “Show & Tell” us more about the Blind and the useful things the blind use every day to help them. She is a delightful young lady who is willing to share her knowledge. She will be here from 9:00-12:00.
“Pam’s Pick” this week is: “Below the Belt” by Stuart Woods, Stone Barrington and the gang are back in the line of fire again. When Stone is asked to a favor from an old friend, he didn’t know he would end up holding the key not only to the man’s fate, but to the fate of the nation.
New Fiction: “Nest” by Terry Goodkind, “Lord of the Privateers” by Stephanie Laurens this is the fourth book in the Adventurers Quartet, “Ruler of the Night” by David Morrell, “Hidden” by James Patterson (bookshot), and “Modern Lovers” by Emma Straub.
New Large Print: “Shadow Rider” by Christine Feehan this is the first book in the Shadow series.
New Christian Fiction: “A Moonbow Night” by Laura Frantz, and “From This Day Forward” by Lauraine Snelling, this is book four in the Song of Blessing series and also in large print.
New Mystery: “The Dangerous Ladies Affair” by Marcia Muller.
New Biographies: “Relentless Spirit: the Unconventional Raising of a Champion” by Missy Franklin, and “Courageous Faith: My Story from a Life of Obedience” by Charles F. Stanley.
