🎣 You can now borrow a fishing pole with your JLS Library card!
Thanks to a partnership with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Library has 10 fishing poles that are available to checkout.
Stop by the library with a valid ID, complete our Library of Things waiver, and check out a fishing pole.* Poles can be borrowed for up to two weeks, and must be returned clean and in good working order.
Kentucky residents under 16 may fish without a permit. Those 16 and older will need a permit; information about Kentucky fishing permits is available on the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife’s website https://fw.ky.gov/Licenses/Pages/Fees.aspx
*Patrons must be 18 years or older and in good standing in order to check out a fishing pole.Â
