Pam’s Pick this week is: “Grace & Henry’s Holiday Movie Marathon” by Matthew Norman, this is the story of two people who recently lost their spouses. Grace’s husband died from cancer, leaving her with two kids and a bar to run. Henry’s wife died in a plane crash, and he has been sleepwalking through life ever since. When their meddling mothers push the two of them together, they realize that maybe they could be partners in sadness. After Henry tells Grace that he and his wife always had a holiday movie marathon, Grace and Henry make their way through many of the classics, as they slowly rebuild their lives and face their grief. They must ask themselves if they’re ready for second chances.
