Pam’s Pick this week is: “Happy Place” by Emily Henry, this is the story of a couple who break up after nearly a decade, but pretend to still be together for their annual best friend’s vacation. Harriet and Wyn were the perfect couple, but now for some unknown reason they aren’t. Will they get away without telling their friends for a week or will the friends find out and try to get them back together?     

New Fiction: “Forgotten War” by Don Bentley, this is the fourth Matt Drake novel, “Earth’s the Right Place for Love” by Elizabeth Berg, “On the Line” by Fern Michaels, “The Rescue” by T. Jefferson Parker, “Strawberry Lane” by Jodi Thomas this is the first book in the Someday Valley series, and “Two Wars and a Wedding” by Laruen Willig. 

New Christian Fiction: “Second Time Around” by Melody Carlson, and “A Brighter Dawn” by Leslie Gould, this is the first book in the Amish Memories series.

Pam’s Pick this week is: “Where are the Children Now?” by Mary Higgins Clark and Alafair Burke, this is the sequel to her classic “Where are the Children?” written over four decades ago. We met Nancy and her children in the first book. Now, Nancy’s daughter Melissa is grown and recently married a man with a young daughter. Melissa’s stepdaughter goes missing, bringing back memories of her own abduction. She and her brother Mike race to find Riley, to save her from the trauma they still struggle with or worse.

Pam’s Pick this week is: “The Only Survivors” by Megan Miranda, this story is about a group of former classmates who ten years before survived a terrible accident. One the anniversary of the accident one of the survivors disappears. This makes the others wonder if it has something to do with the original tragedy itself.

Pam’s Pick this week is: “A Most Intriguing Lady” by Sarah Ferguson Duchess of York, this is a novel of the Victorian Era. Lady Mary Montagu Douglas Scott, is the youngest child of Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch, who moonlights as an amateur sleuth for high society’s inner circle. Wealthy victims with their pride and reputation at stake would never go to the police, so Lady Mary must help them. She meets Colonel Walter Trefusis, a distinguished and extremely handsome war veteran. Walter, like Mary, lives a double life, with a desk job in Whitehall providing a front for his role in the British Intelligence Service. The two form an unlikely alliance to solve a series of crimes. Could the two spark a romance too?

Pam’s Pick of the week: “The House Guest” by Hank Philippi Ryan, this is the story of love, revenge and betrayal. Alyssa could use a friend. After being dumped by her rich husband she was terrified that he would ruin her, leaving her penniless and alone. Alyssa makes friends with Bree who is running from a dangerous relationship herself. The two become confidantes. When Bree comes up with the idea they can solve each other’s problems. Will Alyssa go along with the plan?
