The children’s department, in keeping with the New Year’s resolution, Resolve to Read More, has kicked off a new program called: 1000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN. It is one way to involve the whole family in a child’s readiness to read and promote early literacy. There are numerous studies proving the beneficial effects of early literacy and reading to children before they enter school. We want to be a part of encouraging that goal and have the materials ready to get you started. Stop in and sign up today! If you have any questions please call Ms. Cheryl at 270-522-6301.
