We are getting geared up for LEGO NIGHT! March 31 we will have two sessions, 5:30-6:30 & 6:45-7:45. We have new games and more fun things to do.

“Pam’s Picks” this week I have two books a fiction and a non-fiction. “A Girl’s Guide to Moving On” by Debbie Macomber, this is the story of Nichole and Leanne who bravely leave their troubled marriages and face the challenge of starting over. They soon discover that their inner strength and capacity for love is greater than they ever imagined. This book is also in large print. And “Road Trip Eats” by Gary P. West, this is a guide to 101 places across Kentucky ya gotta eat at, with recipes. And on page 48 is our very own local restaurant “Reva’s Place.” You will have to check this book out to read all about it.

“Pam’s Pick” of the week was a hard choice so I picked a
fiction and a non-fiction. My fiction pick: “A Week in Winter” by Maeve Binchy, this is a story that will make
you laugh, cry, and care about the characters all at the same time. This is the
story of the first week of the opening of a new B&B. Chicky has turning an
old, decaying mansion into a warm and inviting place to stay. Each guest
searching for something different from their stay.

 

“Pam’s Non-fiction Pick” this week is “The Duck Commander Family” by Willie
& Korie Robertson, this is the story of how faith in God, family and ducks
built a multi-million dollar dynasty.
This book is sure to make readers “Happy Happy Happy!”

 

 

New Fiction:

“Alex Cross, Run”
by James Patterson, Detective Alex Cross is hunting three serial killers and at the same time someone else is hunting him.

 

“The Third Bullet”
by Stephen Hunter, this is a Bob Lee Swagger thriller. Swagger is interested in the events of November 22, 1963, and the third bullet that so decisively ended the life of President Kennedy and set the stage for one of the most enduring controversies of all time.

 

“Rogue” by Mark Sullivan, this is the story of orphan, turned thief, turned soldier, turned CIA operative. Robin Monarch’s past is not finished with him but they don’t know the truth or just how far he will go to right the wrongs in his past.

 

“Guilt” by Jonathan Kellerman, this is an Alex Delaware novel. Alex and LAPD detective Milo Sturgis, must confront a fanatically deranged madman to in this chilling case.

 

“The Night Ranger” by Alex Berenson, this is an electrifying new novel. John Wells must go underground in East Africa to track four kidnapped Americans and the Somali bandits who snatched them.

 

 

New Christian Fiction:

“Daybreak” by Shelley Shepard Gray, this is the first book in the Days of Redemption series. Viola is from a close-knit Amish family. When she starts working at a nearby Mennonite retirement home she meets Atle. His only living relative is his son Edward, a missionary in Nicaragua. She understands the importance of his mission but can’t imagine leaving his father in the hands of strangers.

 

“Short-straw Bride” by Karen Witemeyer, this book is in large print. This is a captivating historical romance. The Archer brothers don’t get off the ranch much. So when a female trespasser is found the four brothers decide to draw straws.

 

“The Maid of Fairbourne Hall” by Julie Klassen, this story will take you inside the fascinating belowstairs world of a 19th century English manor, where appearances can be deceiving.

 

“Rosa’s Land” by Gilbert Morris, this is the first book in the Western Justice series. Rosa leaves home for her grandfather’s ranch and the promise of a new life. But what she finds is the ranch being terrorized by outlaws. She goes to find the marshal only to find a stable boy. He must convince Rosa that he can help her.
