April 30 at 6:00 in the basement of the library: Kentucky Humanities presents Eddie Price as Jockey Roscoe Tarleton Goose a Kentucky Derby Winner, 1913. The odds were set at 91:1, the longest odds of a Derby winner, a record that stands today.

Easter will be this weekend on April 1st. I was asked the other day “when was the last time Easter fell on April 1st?” The last time was April 1, 1956 but the next time will be April 1, 2029. Happy Easter!

Movie Time: We will show “Ferdinand” on Good Friday, March 30th at 2:00 in the basement of the library. Popcorn and drinks will be provided. And yes, it is FREE. The movie is based on the 1936 children’s book “The Story of Ferdinand” by Munro Leaf.

Pam’s Pick this week is: “As You Wish” by Jude Deveraux, this is the third book in the Summerhouse series.
